Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games problem on Wii?

When I'm doing the 100m, I go really quickly with the Wiimote and nunchuk, but rarely my character goes blue. I know I'm doing the action right, but is it me or something else?

I am not sure how this happens on the game about a character turning blue, but do you mean the character is going to slow? It did that to me before but my only answer is; there must be a problem with your Wii remote. It's not the game, is probably your remote control. If it still dosen't work now, than you might be shaking the wrong way with the Wii remote and the nunchuck.
