Mario kart wii problems...?

My friend and I are playing on Mario kart for the wii and we did Nintendo wfc and we both registered our miis onto each others wiis. When it connected it said: unable to connect.

you should probbably try reseting the wifi settings and then try again.If it doesnt work after that you may find that your signal is too weak and you may need to move your wii closer to the access point.
