Mark Boucher eyeing his return in the limited-overs format
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AB-de-Villiers-c887 is acting
as the wicketkeeper in the One Day and Twenty20 formats.
Boucher made an amazing return in the South African domestic cricket when he took four catches. However, his team Warriors slid to a heavy 128-run defeat against the Knights in a cricket match in Port Elizabeth.
After a six week injury layoff, he was forced to be dropped for the five-match series in May 2010 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 in the Middle East, UAE.
Boucher said he is “desperate” to make a comeback as he feels he has a lot to learn and “keep becoming a better cricketer.”
The South African coach Corrie van Zyl commented on Boucher’s form that he needs to do more (with his form) if he wants to reclaim his place in the South African limited-overs teams. Rumours were flying around that Boucher was dropped due to his lacklustre
batting. Although van Zyl did not pinpoint his batting, he admitted that he has communicated with Boucher about the reasons he is not in the limited-overs South Africa’s squad against Pakistan.
South Africa is currently playing against Pakistan in the One Day International series. The series is tied at 1-1 with both teams having an exhilarating finish to the four matches.
Luck might be on his side as he will be joining the Test team in UAE for the first Test against Pakistan scheduled to begin from November 12th in Dubai. But he would be practicing before he flies out to Dubai in the domestic cricket when his team
Warriors faces the Dolphins in Pietermaritzburg.
His form would be properly scrutinized in his coming appearances as the South African Board is yet to finalise their World Cup squad and all the first-class cricketers are eligible to be considered.
