Mark Buehrle officially files for free agency – MLB News
Mark Buehrle is one of the few players in Major League Baseball (MLB), who played their entire careers in one franchise. So far, Buehrle has pitched his entire career with the Chicago White Sox, but now he is thinking to test his game somewhere else as he
officially filed for free agency on Sunday.
Buehrle aged 32, played 11 consecutive seasons with the White Sox since 2000 and pitched-in at least 200 innings so far, 30 starts and 10 victories while considered the best record holder in recent MLB history. His free agency will certainly provoke many
teams in the League, but many still say the White Sox management will not let him go and give him another two year contract.
Mark, who does not seem to care too much for money, also wishes to be in the White Sox as long as can deliver here. Last month, on his last game with the Chicago that they played against the Toronto Blue Jays, he stated with little insight his wish to be
with the White Sox for the next seasons.
Buehrle said, “It got kind of emotional there toward the end, but like I keep saying that, it's not 100% sure this is the last outing here for the White Sox. Deep down inside me, I'd love to be back at the White Sox but now… it depends which way they go
and which not, they've got a lot of decisions to make now, It is the first time I've ever had a manager down in the bullpen and when I was getting loose before a game. So that was special.”
However, Buehrle has always loved playing baseball and now as a free agent, he can also explore his game with some-other team. Though, no news has come out in the media as who is interested to sign him. However, many baseball experts have speculated in the
media regarding his next destination in the League. These experts are suggesting his free agency will be vital for New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox and this year’s World Series Champions’ St. Louis Cardinals.
