Okay, this has been bugging me since I saw it on TV. Mark Cueto's try against South Africa during the Rugby World Cup. In touch or out of touch? I've always thought that is was in, but what do you all think?

  1. It was definately out, even if it was only an inch or two it was out - and very depressing

  2. NO TRY. He touched the line with his leg before scoring.

  3. Sorry, no try. For two reasons. The most important one is that the referee is the only one that can make decisions on the field. And he didn't award the try. That's it. Can't argue with that.

Why didn't he award the try? The used TV replays that showed Cueto's toe touch the whitewash before touching down. Look at this picture and read the comments:

  4. out

  5. Sadly (as an England fan) there's an angle which shows his foot on the line before he touches the ball down, so no try.

  6. Is was out.

    There is no question.

His foot was clearly in touch.
