Mark Cueto warns storming Chris Ashton
Mark Cueto the international English rugby union player, who plays for Sale Sharks as well as a wing, has cautioned Chris Ashton. He said that Ashton must be ready for the coming showdown, as he will be the marked man. The coming match against title rivals
is already getting immense anticipation and is reckoned to be the most crucial match of the RBS Six Nations, as the tournament favorites and defending champions France take on each other.
Ashton recently became the only England elite rugby player to storm four tries in a single Six Nations match since 1914. England won that match against Italy with a remarkable 59-13 victory.
Martin Johnson the England’s manager found this raw talent and brought him to thee the frontline, considering him as a unique player.
History embarks the same example of Mar Cueto, who made the similar impression 6 years ago. But Cueto was immediately facing troubles soon after opponent’s defenses became wise. Cueto score eight tries in eight tests, while Northampton wing has accomplished
nine tries from nine matches.
Cueto while talking to the press showed his fears regarding Ashton and said, “Teams start to target you and they will maybe throw extra defenders. Whenever you do your analysis on the teams you come up against you pick out the threats and without a shadow
of a doubt, teams will be looking at Ashy.”
Cueto has a valid point and made it clear that England might be in trouble if Ashton gets cornered. Talking about the skills of Ashton, Cueto added, “There is a skill to what he does and it is astonishing. He just foresees everything. He will be tracking
a play from 10 meters offside just in the optimism that they will make a line-break and then he will be in that point.”
It’s very considerate of a senior player to be talking with such great words for an almost new comer and guiding and warning him with the game and threats respectively. Cueto talking with experience tipped that if there are more than two players on Ashton,
then it means there is a gap somewhere else, which any English forward can easily exploit.
Naming the players he said, “Shontayne Hape and Mike Tindall in the center were looking sturdy and busting all the way through tackles and Ben Foden at the flipside is unsung at the minute.”
The upcoming match is getting many reviews and might decide whose title is it, prior to the finals.
