Mark Davies signs new contract with Bolton Wanderers
Bolton Wanderers midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mark-Davies-c24112 has extended his stay at Reebok Stadium after signing a new deal which would keep him at Bolton until the summer of 2015.
Davies has greatly improved since he joined Bolton at the start of 2009 from Wolverhampton Wanderers. He has bloomed under the guidance of manager Owen Coyle and has already made 25 appearances for the club in the on-going 2010-11 season. The youngster also
received his first-ever international call-up from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 Under-21, but had to withdraw his name owing to an ankle concern. His solo goal for Bolton came at a crucial time. His finish helped Bolton snatch a 2-2 draw against Blackpool when the latter were
poised to win the fixture.
Davies was delighted to have signed a new contract with the Trotters, stating that the club has been accommodating since his arrival. Davies added that he has really settled well in the side and has the manager’s backing and support.
Owen Coyle has to be credited for his outstanding achievements with Bolton in 2011, as the side looks to push for a spot in the Europa League next season. A few weeks ago, Bolton were breathing down the necks of the 3rd and 4th place
teams but some unfavourable results have pushed the side to 8th position.
The manager himself was impressed by the talents and skill of the 22-year-old and believed that Davies deserved the new contract, despite being under one already.
“Mark was already under contract but what this shows is that we are trying to build a football club for years to come. The nucleus is centred around young, exciting players and Mark certainly comes into that category,” stated the Bolton boss.
The manager added that Davies is enjoying good form currently and seems to enjoy every moment spent on the field.
“To have a player of his ilk commit his long-term future to the football club is a tremendous boost,” explained Owen Coyle.
