Mark McGwire’s new era begins with Los Angeles Dodgers – MLB Update
After spending almost two years in St. Louis Cardinals, hitting-coach Mark McGwire has joined the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He proved one of the winning factors for the Cardinals when they outclassed every major team in Major League Baseball in 2011 and won all the way to World Series.
The 2012 season was also satisfactory for 49-year old but according to some close sources, this season was his last as he already decided that he will retire after this season but after getting an offer from the Dodgers, he changed his mind and now once
again roaring for new possibilities for his new franchise.
“Being away from my family a lot this year was really, really rough, I was very surprised when I found out the Dodgers called last week, I have to live with the rest of my life, It's something where I understand everything the Hall of Fame is all about,”
McGwire said.
This is also correct that McGwire was away from his family while as soon as he received potential offer from the Dodgers, he decided to join them.
Earlier when he made his mind to come into the South Los Angeles franchise, many speculated that this will not going to happen as Cardinals are potentially willing to extend his contract but later all these speculations died when McGwire himself confirmed
his job with the Dodgers.
Now news is also coming that after McGwire, the Cardinals are also making some adjustments. Lately they promoted John Mabry as hitting coach.
On the other hand, the Dodgers are also taking some bold decisions for their next potential seasons. The Dodgers are planning to hire a hitting coach assisting and this announcement is expecting in coming few days.
"As we played St. Louis the last few years and I talked to our staff, the conversation was always about how well they adjusted inside the game and adjusted inside at-bats, how they prepared, We saw how our pitchers struggled at times against St. Louis because
their preparation was so strong," general manager Ned Colletti said.
Experts believe that the McGwire new era with the Dodgers as hitting coach will bring many great things for them as his an experienced and talented campaigner.
