Mark Ramprakash penalised for showing dissent over umpires’ decision - Cricket News Update
England’s county side, Surrey Lions, has taken strict action against Mark Ramprakash, former English cricketer. The county side has handed the cricketer a one match ban for showing dissent over umpires’ decision.
The right-handed batsman reacted to the decision of umpires, who pronounced the batsman out for obstructing the field.
The incident took place during the 34th over of fourth and final day of a County Championship Division Two match between Surrey and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 were able to pull off by two wickets.

The batsman after taking a few strides towards the pavilion turned back and debated the umpires’ judgment.
Ramprakash was convicted of committing a Level Two offence and will now serve a one match ban and has also been fined with a three-point penalty by the county side.
Because of the ban, the right-hander will not be part of Surrey’s side when they go up against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Northamptonshire-c824 in a Clydesdale Bank 40 match on Wednesday, August 3, 2011.
In a statement published on Surrey’s website it was stated, “Surrey CCC have confirmed that Mark Ramprakash has been withdrawn from today's (July 3) CB40 clash vs. Northants as a result of an internal disciplinary process. The
player has received a one-match ban as well as an automatic three-point penalty for a Level Two offence.”
It further reads, “Mark Ramprakash showed serious dissent after his dismissal against Gloucestershire on the final day of the LV= County Championship match which ultimately ended with a Surrey CCC victory.”

with the umpires. He reiterated that the cricketer has also accepted the penalty.
