Mark Renshaw remained victory-less as Cavendish shined at the Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne
Mark Renshaw is still in pursuit of his first victory for the 2012 season.  The cyclist tried his luck at the Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne but could not overcome the fascinating form of Mark Cavendish.
The UCI Road World Champion sealed the victory to grab his third victory of the season. He also claimed the third and the fifth stages at the Tour of Qatar earlier.
Yauheni Hutarovich, Kenny Robert, Arnaud Demare and Alexander Serebryakov occupied the second, third, fourth and fifth positions in the respective order.
Renshaw started riding professionally with Team FDJeux.com for 2004 and 2005 seasons.
He moved to Team Credit Agricole (2006-2008), Team Columbia-High Road (2009-2011) and finally accepted an offer from the Dutch side, Team Rabobank for 2012 season.
The 29-year-old had a terrific last season and grabbed the overall victory at the Tour of Qatar and also achieved the fourth stage of the race.
He secured the fifth stage at the Tour of Britain and also succeeded at the team’s time trial stage 1 at the Giro d’ Italia 2011.
Renshaw also claimed one gold and one silver medal during the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester and a gold medal at the 2002 World Championships in Copenhagen.
Mark is yet to open his winning account for the new team and although he was right behind Cavendish during the Belgian race on Sunday, he could not continue his lead during the final kilometre of the race.
He critically pointed out Team Spidertech, "Some guys from Spidertech, they just don't care and they take risks. That's the way the peloton is right now there's not much respect and everyone wants Cavendish's wheel," Mark told Cyclingnews.
He continued, "I had it with 1km to go and then I got knocked off the wheel and from then it was finished. Up until then all our guys were tired in the final so I just had to freestyle".
The Australian helped Mark Cavendish during his stay with the American side, Team HTC and admired his performance to claim the race win.
He is now looking ahead at the Milan-San Remo and Paris-Nice and is confident to secure his first victory for the 2012 season in the coming events.
