Van Bommel wants Milan stay
A.C Milan midfielder, Mark Van Bommel, has admitted that it would be hard for him to turn down a new contract after guiding the club to the Scudetto this season.
Van Bommel was signed on a free transfer in the January transfer window on a six-month contract, which is due to expire come the end of the season. The 34-year-old has made a handful of appearances for the Rossoneri and has played a big part in guiding them
to their first league win in seven years.
The 34-year-old has attracted interest from several European clubs but he has stated his desire to remain at the San Siro.
Talking to the reporters, Van Bommel said, "I am very happy here, but it's not up to me. The decision is the club's to make. If they asked me to stay, then I could not say no to Milan. The atmosphere is exceptional here, as we all fight for the same objectives
and put the team ahead of personal interest."
The former Bayern Munich star believes that the team spirit in the Milan side was a pivotal factor behind their success and everyone backed each other to succeed.
Sunderland say no to Muntari
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sulley-Muntari-c34312 has returned to his parent club, Inter Milan, after Sunderland decided against signing him on permanent basis.
Muntari joined the Black Cats on-loan in the whttp://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 transfer window with an option to buy the player when the deal ends. After failing to impress since his arrival, manager Steve Bruce has refused to sign the player.
A Hefty price tag on the player and his heavy wage demands have forced Bruce to look elsewhere in the summer transfer window. However, the former Manchester United defender has thanked the Ghanaian International for his contribution with the Black Cats and
praised his attitude and work ethic.
"Sulley has been a great professional in his time here and naturally we'd like to thank him for his contribution to our season and wish him all the best for the future." Boss Bruce said.
