Mark Wallis hoping for a Kinda Easy result in Grand Prix final
It was an easy enough task for the odd compilers to install Kinda Easy as the favourite for tonight’s £15,000 Grand Prix final at Sunderland, after a stylish three-and-a-half-length victory in last week’s semis over 640m.
The Mark Wallis- trained dog produced the fastest time in the semis thanks to a great start, he was also fast to ping in the opening heats but lost out on time after early crowding and was lucky to overcome the trouble and qualify.
It would seem as though the St Leger hero has finally recaptured his best form since beating Droopys Zach at Wimbledon in what was the most incredible finish in the staying ranks last year.
Wallis said in the Racing Post: "Sunderland suits him really well and he's impressed me firstly with the way he qualified from an awkward position in the opening round and then how he beat what looked the toughest semi final field.
"He's a streaky kind of dog, a bit like a golfer who comes in and out of form, and gets on a roll sometimes. It's a good final and I respect all the others, but he does look the one to beat."
The wet weather conditions will have dampened down the track and could lead to some very fast times.
The only threat to possibly get between Wallis and success comes in the form of England Expects. A greyhound which remains un-exposed and who’s capable of producing some really fast times.
