Mark Webber: Red Bull Racing has never been this prepared for a season ever before
Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber has recently stated that his team has never been as prepared as they are right now before the beginning of a Formula 1 season.
He stated that over the winter break, the team has prospered a lot in terms of technology and the team has improved its pace by a margin as compared to its 2010 car RB6. The RB7, Red Bull’s new car has scored some of the best times of the pre-season test
sessions this year and it seems that they have the most reliable and fastest car on the grid up until now.
However, Mark Webber is still expecting an unpredictable race at the season opener in Australia that is expected to take place on the 27th of March. It is going to be interesting to see how McLaren, Mercedes GP and Ferrari perform as compared
to Red Bull at the season opener this year.
“We've done a huge amount of testing and a lot of work has gone in to the cars - now we'll put them through their paces at Albert Park and lots of questions will be answered. It's going to be an eventful weekend, especially as the weather can be a bit hit
and miss,” he said.
He added that the team still has to learn a lot about the new Pirelli tyres as they are going to play a huge role in the 2011 Formula 1 season.
“I hope I can improve my luck there, as it hasn't been incredible since my first GP in 02. I hope I can get my best result and there's every indication we can do that. This is the best winter we've had - let's hope we can carry it on to into the first event,”
said Mark.
On the other hand, Sebastian Vettel is also ready to get back to the track once again on the 27th of March and he is expecting similar results from his team once again as he is hopeful of successfully defending his title this year.
