Mark Webber believes Adrian Newey is Red Bull’s success factor – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber believes that their chief technical officer, Adrian Newey is their factor of success in Formula 1.
The Milton Keynes based team faced immense difficulties during the opening few races of the season because FIA made amendments in some rules and regulations and banned the double diffuser which was their major strength during the preceding season.
Nonetheless, they kept on working hard and came up with some substantial developments in their car to claim their third successive double world championship in this season.
The main credit of Red Bull’s victory goes to the ultimate genius, Newey who has been the most successful engineer in the sport and has proven his potential yet again, this time despite the crisis which prevailed during the season.
It will be important to mention that Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull has not dominated in this season as he did in the previous one, in which he scored eleven grands prix wins. Nevertheless, he seemed invincible during the last few races, behind the wheel of
the fastest car in the field, developed by the 53-year-old.
Therefore, the Australian driver has praised the skills of the Briton and has expressed that he has played a major role in their victory.
“You have Adrian on the drum kit who's a big beacon for the team here in terms of design and philosophy of where the car needs to be,” the Aussie said. “Because when you strip it all down that's what it's about; for all the smoke and mirrors and that stuff
it's a racing car, let's make it as quick as possible to go to every different track around the world and do business in qualifying and race. Adrian never loses sight of that.”
Furthermore, he said that they are now looking forward to make the necessary advancement and the significant preparations for the next season so as to carry on their success streak.
It will be thrilling to see how the three-time world champion team performs in the coming year and whether they will be able to defend their title or not.
