Mark Webber believes RB7 is Red Bull's most reliable car yet - Formula 1
Red Bull Racing Team’s Mark Webber has recently stated, after the third day of the final pre-season test session in Barcelona, that the new Red Bull car RB7, is the most reliable car Red Bull has ever come up with before the season opening race in Formula
1.
The Aussie was able to complete 97 laps at the third day of the final pre-season test session, that is twice as much as he did on the first day of the session.
Mark is eager to hit the Albert Park circuit and he is hoping for the best possible results for his team.
“We had a good day again. The car was reliable, so hopefully the weather will stay dry tomorrow and then rain on Saturday, so we get a good week out of it! I feel I'm ready for the first race now and while, of course you want a good run at your home race,
I don't want to jinx with it any forecasts,” he said.
He added that in terms of the team’s preparation for the season opening race, Red Bull Racing Team has truly outdone itself this year as according to Webber, this year’s first part of the season is going to be the best one the team has ever had in terms
of reliability.
“Hopefully, we're not too far from our main rivals to start with and we'll just go from there,” said Mark.
However, the team’s race engineer Ian Morgan has recently stated that the team is focused on making the most out of the final day of the final pre-season test session in Barcelona as this is going to be the last time that the team will get to test its new
car before the season opening race.
“We'll run through a similar programme to today and, as with Mark, try to get him as comfortable as possible with everything before we pack up for Australia,” said Ian.
The first race of the 2011 Formula 1 season is expected to take place in Australia on the 27th of March and it is going to be Mark’s home grand prix.
