Mark Webber calls Adrian Newey beacon for Red Bull Racing – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber has admired all the remarkable efforts of Adrian Newey who is presently working as the chief technical officer in the Milton Keynes based squad and has called him as a symbol of hope for the team.
Newey has been considered as one of the most talented engineers in the world of motorsport and has proved his potential with his dynamic abilities in his career so far.
It will be important to mention that Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull had dominated in the last two seasons because of his competitive car which was developed by the genius.
Although the defending champions have not been able to dominate in this season as compared to the preceding one because they struggled with their car’s design due to some changes in rules and regulations by FIA. Nevertheless, they have recently found their
pace back and the veteran German driver is leading the drivers’ championship after claiming his fourth race victory in the Indian Grand Prix.
On the other hand, Webber has also performed with an admirable consistency and is presently standing at fourth place in the drivers’ standings.
The Australian driver has said that the British engineer has been a very important factor in Red Bull’s success.
“When I go to the factory it's always a good sign when I see his car there. I'm happy. He is always coming up with ideas. Whenever Adrian is around it just brings everyone up the engineering guys, the mechanics. He is such a beacon for our team,” he said.
In addition, he said that they feel immensely pleased to have the Briton in their team. Besides, he said that the 53-year-old is one of the major reasons for him to stay at his present team for the coming year.
“For us, when it is a bit smelly, he just sticks to his guns, and when it's going well, you never notice it,” he added. “When we finished first and second in Korea the debrief was no different, and that's just such a quality of Adrian, and that's why it's
great to have him.”
