Mark Webber promises he will be a much stronger competitor in 2012 season – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber has said that he will be a much stronger competitor among all drivers in the 2012 Formula 1 season.
Webber talked to the media and stated that his team and viewers can expect a strong performance from him next year, as he believes he will take a strong start in the 2012 season and keep his momentum until the end of the season as well.
The Australian driver recently signed a deal with Red Bull Racing team for the next year’s races. However, he mentioned that he is eager to perform strongly on the grid throughout the 2012 season.
He is aiming to take strong start to the next season, as he took in 2010. Webber stated that he just wants to finish 2011 championship battle as good as he can. In addition, he said that he is looking forward to get his best possible results at the end of
the title fight.
Webber commented, “Yes, of course, I do think that last year was my last chance at being world champion. But I've pushed very, very hard and done many, many things that other people could not have achieved so I'm very proud of what I did.”
He went on to mention, “It's a new chapter after you're done driving in F1. I haven't thought so much of what I would do after F1, but it's definitely not here. Now I enjoy the driving but when the day comes and I'm not driving I'll go and do something different.”
The 35-year-old driver further mentioned that if a driver wants to win a championship, then he needs 100 percent support from his team for achieving it.
Apart from that, he discussed the 2011 Formula 1 season and added that he thinks it was difficult for his team to give 100 percent to both drivers at the same time, as they were both demanding.
In the Singapore Grand Prix, Webber took a third position for his team, and after that, he was placed at the fourth place with 182 points in the 2011 drivers’ championship.
Let’s see how Webber performs in the rest of the ongoing season following his third position in the Singapore race.
