Mark Webber says Romain Grosjean needs another holiday – Formula 1 news
Mark Webber of Red Bull Racing remains frustrated over the mistake of Romain Grosjean of Lotus which caused disturbance in the event.
Webber’s car spun over the circuit and it resulted in a 10 seconds stop penalty to Grosjean by the race stewards. The Red Bull driver could only make it to the 9th position in the race.
He told that it happened as a surprise for the driver in blue and he did not have any clue about the incident. Later his team confirmed that it happened in the first lap by Grosjean. He added that it happens because of the different motives of the drivers
as other drivers are trying to get ahead of others whereas the Lotus driver is trying to attain the third corner as fast as he can, thus this results in eliminating some top position contenders from the race.
Webber said, “I haven't obviously seen what happened what happened at the start but the guys confirmed that it was first-lap nutcase again, Grosjean. The rest of us are trying to fight for some decent results each weekend but he's trying to get to the third
corner as fast as he can in every race. It makes it frustrating because a few big guys have suffered out there today. Anyway, maybe he needs another holiday.”
Furthermore, he believes that there is a limit to the mistakes and he should improve because the first lap incidents are very embarrassing at the level of the experienced Lotus driver.
Commenting on his race he said that he is satisfied that he managed finishing at the 9th position despite the incident he faced in the beginning of the race. He told that they had adopted one stop strategy and kept pushing further. He is satisfied that they
managed finishing the race 8 seconds behind the 5th position. He added that he need to relax and keep doing what he has been doing over the circuits. He looks forward to the upcoming Korean Grand Prix scheduled at October 14, 2012.
At the Belgian Grand Prix Grosjean caused an accident eliminating Alonso and several other top drivers of the race. He apologised at the incident however he was penalised by 1 race penalty by the stewards.
