Mark Webber’s performance roundup in 2012 Formula 1 season so far
Red Bull Racing driver, Mark Webber stands amongst one of the most competent and talented drivers in the field of the 2012 Formula 1 season and has got a strong chance to win his first championship title this year.
Webber has been one of the most consistent point scorers in the first half of the current season and is standing at second position in the drivers’ rankings with 124 points. Moreover, he is ahead of his teammate, Sebastian Vettel who completely dominated
during the preceding season and is behind Fernando Alonso of Ferrari who is currently leading the drivers’ rankings with 164 points.
Although, the Spaniard has a big lead over the Red Bull drivers, however, the Australian driver is not feeling disappointed and is positively looking forward to fight for the title.
He secured inspiring fourth place finishes in the first four grands prix and emerged as an impressively consistent driver. Conversely, he could not score even a single point in the Spanish GP as he came 11th after taking a start from the same
grid slot.
Nevertheless, he came back remarkably well in the Monaco GP and took his first victory of the current season. Later, he secured 7th place finish in the Canadian GP after setting off from 4th grid slot.
Afterwards, he performed amazingly well in the European GP and secured an incredible 4th place finish after beginning from 19th grid position.
Later on, he took an inspiring victory in the British GP after qualifying for second grid position. However, he has been seen struggling with finding his full potential in the last couple of races in which he could only secure 8th place finishes
after taking a start from 8th and 11th grid positions.
