Ronnie O’Sullivan, the former world number 1 and the most controversial player has been criticised by many people including the chairman of the world snooker Berry Hearn.
Hearn said that he is not concerned if Ronnie plays or not but he cannot just pull out himself in the last minute. He said that he was very disappointed as the world snooker association wants to expand its horizon and this was a major tournament. He
also said that Ronnie is always liked by the people but only when he wants.

extra buzz to the event, said Mark Williams.
Mark Selby disagreed to Mark Williams saying that there should not be one rule for one players and other one for the rest. He said rules should be the same for everyone and there should not be any special favours given to anyone.
Williams said that may be the only way to make him appear is that you start paying him extra appearance money.
Ronnie’s ranking has dropped down to number 10 because of not showing up in various events. Ronnie has previously been found refusing a maximum break on the black ball, since there was no prize money, but then completed it on the umpire’s request.
