Market America? Can anyone tell the deal on this company?

Market Americal is basically a company that markets helath products, cleaners, pet supplies etc  In essence its a home based business opportunity.  I went to a meeting to see what it was about when we were looking into ways to work from home.  The product is okay but not high in demand.  Meaning people can go to walmart, the dollar store etc and buy things cheaper.  There's a 95 dollar application fee, $400 mandatory product fee, and another fee which I can't remember what it is for.  But the total start up cost for this business is around $700.  Then it's mandatory that you go to international training events that cost $300 just to get into the door.  Not to include your airflight, hotel stay etc.  I understand that in starting a business, there is going to be start up costs, fee's and what not.  Overhead expenses, less than a traditional one.  No businesses are free to start up.  Being in business, the model is the same as any  business in corporate america! That wasn't what bothered me.  What bothered me is the demand issue.

Market America could be a good business for you to get involved in.  However if you have never been in business, ran a business or anything, there is quite a few different things you should learn how Market America works.  Basically how a home based business works, what's involved etc.  I highly recommend you read this article that will help you out if you choose to get involved with Market America or any other business venture.  It's not as easy as the reps proclaim it to be.  A lot involved and the income opportunity does not happen over night.

I'm not being negative or positive.  It's just important that you know the facts.
