The Werder Bremen winger has stood in support of Borussia Dortmund-bound attacker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 and reckons he has made the right decision.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marko-Marin-c24198 reckons that Marco Reus has made the perfect decision by choosing to tie knots with the reigning German champions. The former Gladbach winger believes that Reus would be a welcome addition at the Westfalenstadion, and
Dortmund will certainly benefit from the player’s ability.
Marin admitted that Reus might find things harder at his new club, but a player like him will definitely adjust under any conditions. He defended his decision to leave the Borussia-Park outfit three years back as the club was struggling
to stay in the league at that time. However, he stated that Reus’ decision has come at a time when the club stands a chance of playing in Europe so it could be a risk.
While talking to Sport1, the 22-year-old further mentioned:
"I can absolutely understand [why he has chosen to leave], but it is a little bit different than my departure as it is so close to the European Championship. He had a great learning curve and a good time at Gladbach."
Marin believes that Reus must have learned a lot in his career at Gladbach, and has certainly taken a step forward in his career. He stated that he can still improve on his performances and admitted that he has not played up to
his potential this season.
"I would do it again; I think it was the best step I could have made. It has been confirmed for me. I had a very good and successful first year at Werder, then the second was not so good. Now I must get really fit again and stay
injury free. I'm sure I can get back to my best," he concluded.
Marin made 68 league appearances for the Foals during his two-year stint at the club, netting eight goals in return. Since joining Bremen in 2009, the attacker has so far played 77 league games, scoring seven goals in the process.
The attacking midfielder will next be seen in action against Kaiserslautern on Saturday, January 21.
