Marko Marin looking to take his chances at Sevilla – Football news
German international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marko-Marin-c24198, has admitted that he is looking forward to performing for Sevilla in the next season and is committed to perform at his best for the Spanish side. The player has joined Sevilla on a one-year loan from English side Chelsea.
Marin failed to cement his place in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 starting line-up and only made a total of six appearances for the Blues, scoring once in the process. The winger was bought from German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen in the summer of 2012 but his maiden season
was by-no-means a success.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach player stated that he has come to the club with a lot of ambition and the midfielder is hopeful of making his mark in the first team for the next season.
Marin added that Sevilla is a great club with great tradition and is delighted on the prospect of playing in the best league in the world. The attacking midfielder wants to prove is worth in this next step of his career.
“I come here with more ambition than when I signed for Chelsea. Sevilla is a club of tradition that I have come to for the new season with the hope of helping them return to a position in the league that they occupied not so many years ago,” he was quoted
as saying in an interview.
The German stated that he is looking to impress Sevilla sporting director Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo and wants to prove that his signing is a success when he plays for the club next season.
“I hope to take on the role of a leader. After talking with 'Monchi' [Sevilla sporting director http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivan-Rakitic-c17333, who is also a leader in the team, I have understood the project and the philosophy of this club. I want
to show my value here,” he concluded.
Marko Marin made a total of 87 league appearances for Werder Bremen and scored eight times in the process. The winger also has 16 international caps to his name and has scored one goal for his country in the process.
