The Hoffenheim manager has revealed that Gylfi Sigurdsson is close to signing for an English Premier League club.

The manager refused to name the side that had signed the 22-year old but is confident that the move will be finalised by the end of this week. He admitted that the player would have had a great chance to prove himself in the Bundesliga
but is not keen to stand in the former Reading man’s way.
“Gylfi Sigurdsson is nearing agreement with a Premier League club. It's all about the final details. I am assuming that the transfer will be completed by the end of the week,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
At the start of June, there would have been no doubt that the midfielder will reunite with his former manager at Anfield. But Tottenham’s offer of high wages and the guarantee of first team football would have changed the player’s
mind. Now, with the appointment of Andre Villas Boas as the new manager, it is highly likely that Sigurdsson will play his football at White Hart Lane next season.
Gylfi Sigurdsson had a stunning campaign with the Swans last season as he netted an impressive seven league goals in 18 games for the club. The player also accumulated three assists in the process.
