After the disappointment in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032, there has been widespread talk that Joachim Low should step down as the national team manager and Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp should take his place.
However, Babbel has different thoughts as he thinks Low and Klopp are two managers who cannot be compared as they are different. He insisted that both the tacticians have proved themselves but they could have been compared only
if they were managing at the same level.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 player stressed that Jurgen Klopp has a full season to guide his team in the Bundesliga whereas Joachim Low has to make the right decisions in a very short period. He added that the Die Nationalelf boss has
only the training sessions to determine which player has the potential to play in the national side.
“This cannot be compared. Klopp has the whole season to mold time, his team. On the other hand Low has to do it in a very short time to make the right decisions,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Babbel admitted that he is not in favour of Sepp Blatter’s recent talk to finish penalty shootouts from competitions. He insisted that both teams have an equal chance to prove themselves in the 120 minutes and
the shootout is the best possible way to determine a winner.
“Penalties are the most brutal for the losing team, but one has 120 minutes. It's a piece of the game is pure excitement and creates emotions, who has the better nerves. I would not do it. But perhaps Mr. Blatter wants, that the
English are more times,” he concluded.
Markus Babbel guided Hoffenheim to an 11th place finish last season.
