Marleau Rumors?

Hey Hockey Section! Been gone for the past week backpacking.

So can you all fill me in about some of the Marleau rumors? Is it much or anything at all?

Plus, what are some of the biggest rumors or trades or draft picks of this past week?

McLellan has said that he fits the system that he wants to run. I expect him to stay. You have to remember that the new coach will have a lot to say on who who wants gone or to stay. I expect that Marleau will be a Shark. If he doesnt work out, they can always ship him at the next years Trade Deadline for exactly what they feel they need at that point. That may be the better way to go for the Sharks. Let McLellan figure out who fits into the system and work with the GM after that to his needs and wants. Having Marleau as trade bait (if thats what he becomes) would be a good thing next year at the deadline.

Don't know much about Marleau rumors, but i've heard Columbus!

^^^those have been the two rumors flying everywhere.

Jokinen got trade to Phoenix.

Umberger got traded to Columbus

Tangauy(sp?) got traded to Montreal

And Gainey (Habs) is talking with Sundin. MATS MAY BE A HAB!

Hossa declined a offer by PITT says he wants to test free agency, BUT says PITT is still his number one choice. He wants to be sure.

Sean Avery isn't going to resign with the Rags! He wants to test free agency because for some reason he think he's worth 4 mil/year!

Dan Ellis got a two year deal by Nashville.

Ray Emery was placed on waivers.

I am a sharks fan here man and im gonna tell u that we can afford them both. We are segnificantly below the cap room. I would like to see us resign pavelski and clowe and maybe go after Hossa.

the only rumor is that Campbell will leave and Marleau to columbus but thats not gonna happen since they got R.J. but san jose will hopefully resign campbell then well b in good shape

i was hearing that patty marleau was gonna get traded to columbus but that hasn't happened yet & who knows if it will or not. there's been alot of trades within the past week.

there were rumors that malkin was going to go to the la kings & then there were some about him going back to russia or whatever.

Marleau isn't going anywhere.

Columbus made a strong attempt, but in the end, they just didn't have enough to offer so Wilson passed.

The draft over the weekend saw Jokinen go to Phoenix, Umberger go to Columbus, and Tanguay go to Montreal.

Hossa is going to the free agent market, Sundin is talkin with the Habs, Campbell is talkin with NYR, and Rolston and the Minnesota Wild are not seeing eye to eye.

8 more days and we can really put the Marleau rumors to rest!

Patty is not good "trade bait" when his no trade clause kicks in July 1st. So my guess is that he will be a Shark for seasons to come.

I read in the Dispatch in Columbus that He was supposed to move to Columbus.The trade was Zherdev and a pick for Marleau.But it ended with nothing happening for us.
