Marlin 30-30 gun value

Question

Its a Marlin 30-30 model 336 CS Micro Groove barrel CAL 30/30 WIN its says on barrel. It also the The Marlin Firearms Co. It has a Holden Ironsighter scope on it. It also has a Torrel Cowhide strap on it. Please tell me the value. Dad told me to take no less than 300. Please I am thinking about selling it! thanks

You might get $300 if you hold out

I usually sell the for about $250, and they usually sit on the table for at least a day

Ironsighters are scope rings

As with cars accessories don't necessarily bring up the value only the sellability

Your dad is right, no less then 300 and no more then 450 because i can buy a new one for about 400-450

The gun is only worth about $275 to $300 at best.  Why?  Because Marlin makes many guns, the market is flooded and that brings the vaule down.  But the Marlin is a great lever gun and is popular.  You might find someone out there that would give you more than $300, but if they know they can get a new one for $350 to $400, they'd probably rather buy a new one.

Made since 1984 the model 336 cs is valued as:

NIB=$350.00

Excellent=$225.00

Very Good=$200.00

Good=$175.00

NOTE* this does not include the value of the scope and sling. If the scope is mounted properly, using the correct mount and not someone's add on, then it does increase the value of the rifle by up to $100.00

If I was selling it (and I would not part with this rifle myself) I would ask $400.00 for it.

My dads a hunter, and he and I think the same as your dad. Its a good quality gun, and isnt one of those cheap breakable ones.

Id say atleast 350$.

You can check on ebay (if they sell those) or go to a specialty stoor (like lebaron, or Bas pro shop) and ask them what they think.

For the most part, its worth ATLEAST 350$ if not more.

Before you sell it, are you sure you want too? Good rifles are hard to come by...

P.s: my dads shot 2 deer. We donate the fur from the deer to native reserve people..
