Marlin model 57 .22lr

is the marlin model 57 lever action a good gun for small game hunting or would the marlin 60 be better?

Although it is a good rifle, I prefer the model 60 because you get faster follow up shots without having to move like you do with a lever gun.

I would get the lever gun

You will get more reliable feeding with lighter loads that creep up in the bulk packs and you should be able to operate a lever almost as fast as a semi without moving anything but the arm you are operating the lever with while still holding rock solid on your target

Model 57 because you won't waste so much ammo, and you will be more determined to make your shot count.* Its against the game laws in Pa. to use a semi-auto rifle for any game animals.*
