Marlos Moment ready to register a triumph at Tipperary
The last two months had been the best time of Marlos Moment’s career as he marvellously accomplished two classic victories along with a third and a runner-up position. Since the dawn of this month, he has not run anywhere.
Having built up a lot on his momentum, the J. H. Culloty trained bay gelding is now ready to fight for the ace title of the @TipperaryRaces On Twitter Handicap Hurdle that will be held at Tipperary racecourse on Monday.
The high-stakes race of €5,520 will go over the heavy course of 2 miles. Marlos Moment is supposed to show his guts against 10 rivals.
Much to his advantage, the son of Where Or When out of Tender Moment has experienced heavy surfaces for multiple times in his 29-race career that began around four years ago. Thus, it will not be a big deal for him to compete today.
Considering the six-year-old veteran horse’s epic performances of the last couple of months, it seems quite obvious that he will be able to outplay his competitors convincingly. This is the reason many punters have staked their money on him.
Marlos Moment’s career journey is amazing. After a long struggle, he managed to break his maiden on August 20, 2012 by winning the Gerry Igoe Land Drainage Flat v National Hunt Riders Challenge Handicap that took place at Roscommon racecourse.
He went on to finish second in the very next race named as McWilliam Park Hotel Claremorris Handicap. He stood third in the Curragh Amateur Derby (Q.R.) Handicap on September 15.
The Berkshire Equestrian Services Ltd bred horse achieved his second triumph on September 20. That was the Thomas O'Connor Memorial Handicap, held at Listowel.
These stats are sufficient to gauge the guts of the gelding. Thus, we must hope that he will give an exciting action to his fans to enjoy.
However, Cairdiuil, who summed up immense form by winning the Paschal Corrigan Memorial Handicap on the heavy course of Galway on September 10, may disturb Marlos Moment in the race.
The fight between the two mighty horses will make the event interesting enough. Good luck to Culloty’s pupil.
