Maroon/Airborne beret

i was watching soldiers wifes on tv and i saw they where wearing maroon berets with the general/ blue flash , i was in the army never in a airborne post so how acurate is that ? also i am thinking of re uping and being staioned at cambell me being a jackleg if i was in a airborne unit what beret would i wear ??

  1. Well, there are several airborne units on FT. Campbell, but you need to do certain things to ensure you go directly to those units and actually jump. FT. Campbell is home of the 101st ABN but it is a leg unit, not an airborne with only a some units internally on jump status. There are several other units on the post on jump status:

    5th Special Forces Group

    160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment

    Pathfinder Companies in the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade and the 159th Combat Aviation Brigade of the 101st ABN DIV

    G-3 and the cadre from some of the schools ran by 101st

    So you would need to what unit you are going to first, then you will get your flash from there. Here they are below to search for:

    im not sure what thought. i know the beret would be maroon for airborne though
