In a surprising news, Moroccan international Marouane Chamakh has said that he is open to a return to French Ligue 1 side FC Girondins de Bordeaux in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The striker is currently under contract at English Premier League side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 is the main reason behind the Moroccan’s failure
to establish himself in the starting XI.
A few weeks ago, Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud claimed that Chamakh did not return his calls. However, it now seems that Chamakh is considering moving out of the Emirates in a bid to resurrect his career.
While talking to the media, Chamakh said that he will not be looking to leave in the winter but also gave a hint that things might change in the future.
“It’s not a difficult period. When a striker (Van Persie) walks on water, it’s good for the team and we cannot say anything about it. If I play well, I will score more. It’s an automatic sequence and I thing that it should happen. However, I can’t stay like
this forever. I’m 27 and I need to play,” said Chamakh while talking to Telefoot.
Though Chamakh is becoming a luxury Arsene Wenger can’t afford to avail, he still has a good reputation in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603.
However, Chamakh admitted his love for Bordeaux and said that he will contact Jean-Louis Triaud in the future and said that if he ever returned to French football it will be Bordeaux as he is very attached to the club and would never play for any of its
rivals.
The recent statements made by Chamakh are certainly strong ones for a player who has not really admitted his irritation at not being able to get a lot of game time. However, it still remains to be seen whether the striker would be willing to take a pay cut
in order to play regularly in the Ligue 1 for Bordeaux where he made a name for himself before moving to Arsenal in the summer of 2010 as a free agent.
