With Arsenal looking to make way for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Chamakh-c24294 who has been linked with a return to Ligue 1 for quite some time
As assured by the Daily Telegraph, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 and also secure the future
of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Among players linked with a move to the Emirates is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 midfielder Yoann Gourcuff. The Frenchman has proven to be a financial burden on Les Gones since joining them from Bordeaux a few years back.
However, it appears that striker, Marouane Chamakh’s future at the club would make a move for Gourcuff possible. Chamakh has been far from the striker that he was at Bordeaux and finds first-team action hard to find.
In 29 Premier League games, Chamakh has scored just seven times and it seems that Arsene Wenger might finally be willing to let go of the Moroccan international.
The respective futures of Chamakh and Gourcuff are intertwined and Wenger is also keen on signing the midfielder who has had a miserable time at Lyon.
However, Arsenal might face a lot of difficulty in signing Gourcuff. Reports claim that Paris Saint-Germain, Fiorentina and Bordeaux are keen on signing the former AC Milan player.
Rumours linking him with a move to Parc des Princes are gaining a lot of momentum especially after Gourcuff was seen at the Parc during PSG’s 1-1 draw with Bordeaux.
Chamakh on the other hand, is reportedly interested in returning to Ligue 1 where he made a name for himself at Bordeaux. The Aquitaine club was keen to get the player on loan in the January transfer window but Chamakh chose to see how things transpired
for him at Emirates.
Gourcuff on the other hand, might also consider a change of scenery. The Frenchman gets a lot of praise from Arsene Wenger every now and then which means that Arsenal might enter the race for signing the midfielder.
