Arsenal striker and Moroccan international, Marouane Chamakh has gone on to dismiss any and all rumours linking him with a move out of the Emirates, as the player has gone on to confirm that he wishes to settle at Arsenal.
The striker enjoyed a brilliant start to his career at Arsenal last season, however, following the return of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 to the first team, he ended up spending the remainder of his term with the team on the bench.
Following speculations that he couldn’t be a part of the team anymore, based on his lack of first team options, Chamakh was being linked with a move away from the club and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 being named as the favourites to land him.
The forward has gone on to state that he wishes to stick around at the Emirates and that he wants to make a name for himself in the Premier League.
When talking about his future at the club, Chamakh went on to state: "I want to make my name in the Premier League"
The striker then went on to take the blame for his dip in form last season, however, he also vowed to improve in the near future.
Chamakh then continued by adding: "I started well last season and lost my way. However, I want to make a name for myself here.”
The striker finally ended by addressing the rumours that were linking him with a move away from the club, as he ended by claiming he wanted to be the first choice at Arsenal and that was all that he had on his mind.
"I've heard a lot of rumours about me leaving the Gunners, but I have a contract here. I want to honour it and make myself No.1 in my position. I am looking forward to that."
Chamakh’s arrival at Arsenal was one that greatly benefitted the Gunners. The forward joined the team; just when Van Persie went on to injure himself. Despite not having played in the Premier League before, the Moroccan managed to use his abilities perfectly
to fit into the Gunners squad. He went on to win a number of penalties for the team and even caused his opponents to constantly pick up red cards.
This ability shown by the player was some that had never been seen by the Gunners before and they soon began to exploit this skill.
However, with Van Persie returning, Chamakh was inexplicably dropped to the bench and has since never really returned to the team.
Nonetheless, hopefully this coming season, the forward will finally be able to break free and prove his worth.
