Marquee wedding/country house Aberdeenshire?

We are thinking of getting married in June next year and are on a fairly tight budget, we are thinking of a marquee but hear they're quite expensive.

We have friends who are doing the catering

has anyone done similar or in a country house in the area? any ideas?

Cheapest might be to hire a village hall - you could try Garlogie which is fairly pleasant. Not entirely romantic, but if money really matters....

Drum Castle has done weddings before and is owned by the NTS so wouldn't charge too much
