Marquez vs Vasquez I,II, &III in my opinion was the only trilogy that gave us fans of boxing action throughout. It will go down in history as such....... Your opinons?

  1. BEST TRILOGY EVER! FIGHT ,ROUND,AND FIGHTER OF THE YEAR!WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I have to say that the Barerra vs Morrales trilogy was just as action packed and it went the distance somehow each time. Marquez vs Vazquez is a close second though.

  3. ok gio.. who won officially?

dang.. butterbean won this one here on  espn classic if anyone could muster up any interest what so ever...lol

  4. correct Devon, this one tops the Morales - Barrera fights. As to tonight's fight, it was a fantastic display of signature boxing. They both left everything they had, without a doubt. By the way, that last round made it a superb finish

    to jwood, Vasquez took it

  5. Mexicans are great fighters. Marquez and Vasquez are the best in their current devision. But you also have to see Manny Pacquiao fights. Its everything but action.

  6. What up Devon P,

Man that was an incredible fight!!  What's even more exciting is that both of them are opn to a fourth fight.  Both fighters are so evenly matched and i thought tonight's fight should have been a draw until that 12 round.  i think losing the point for Marquez (it look like he hit Vasquez on the belt- but i think the ref. had warned him multiple times).  Also it looked like had the fight lasted 10 more seconds- Vasquez would have finished with a knockout!!!

i hope this goes at least 5 fights!!!  It's crazy that this fight was free on HBO (in terms of non PPV) but i paid $50 for other fights- this had to be one of the best fights i've seen in a long, long time.

  7. This has to rank as the best trilogy because the first two fights where decided by knockout and the last fight was close, unlike other great trilogies, i.e. Gatti-Ward and Barrera-Morales.  I just don't agree with Vasquez winning the last one, every round was close but Marquez edged most of them.  I also disagree with the ref taking the point away for low blows, most of them looked okay to me.  I will admit though,  Vasquez put on a great 12th round, the only way he could've done better in that round was if he would have finished Marquez.

  8. Man, you guys are killing me, I meant to watch the fight live, but something came up and I missed it.  Sounds like I missed a great one, I can't wait to watch the tape.
