Marquez’s trainer Ignacio Beristain admits Manny Pacquiao is a complete fighter now – Boxing news
Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Beristain, who is the trainer of the current World Boxing Association Super, World Boxing Organisation and The Ring Lightweight World Champion Juan Manuel Marquez, reckons it will not be easy for his man to beat Manny Pacquiao, as he admitted
the Filipino star has become a complete fighter now.
“He has become a more complete boxer,” said Beristain.
The best pound-for-pound in the world, Pacquiao, who is an eight-division world champion and the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion), has claimed many a times that people will see his best version this time because
of his right hand and Beristain also believes it.
Beristain stated Pacquiao previously had a lethal left hand but now he has learned a lot of new techniques and his right hook has become much better therefore it will be an easy night for him man.
Beristain added, “His punches are now more clinical, he is not as wild as he used to be. He looks like he knows what he is doing and that's directly the effect that Freddie Roach, his trainer, has had. He has learned a lot of techniques and a lot of new
things and he is doing them better, especially the right hook.”
“We see that he has a better right hand now. We know it's not going to be easy. We have to be smart enough to know how to do it and when to do it,” he added.
The 32-year-old Pac-Man, who carries a record of winning 53 of his 58 professional fights (2 Draws), with 38 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, will take on Marquez in their much-anticipated trilogy fight on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Arena
in Las Vegas, Nevada.
