picnic point is supposed to be nice, you could walk along the lakeshore trail, the capitol building is nice at night, you could rent a boat and go out on either lake, I can't think of anything else at the moment but good luck

well, there's always the capitol steps- and i love the area on the lake by the wisconsin club/hilton....

madison is known for its farmers market and street fairs, why not take an outing to one of those and have a picnic on the square?that would be really romantic and sweet- i love madison in the summer and think state street is actually very romantic when it's really festive like that...
