ok - so based on what people are writing on YA - it seems many women think they dont need to dress as s**y when they get married. Who agrees with this? As a man, I cant say it sits well with me.

  1. I like to look nice for my husband, but sometimes with two kids and all that goes along with that you don't always look your best. But for the most part i try to look good for my hubby

  2. Sometimes out of respect for their husband, wives will show less skin( sort of as a silent statement that no other man can see their private-er parts).

I don't believe this is wrong, but you shouldn't let yourself go either. Dress s**y for your spouse, wear high heels..whatever, but if you get lazy with your looks, then the attraction in the marriage will wane and their will be problems.

  3. What? That can't be healthy for a relationship. I think it's important to remain attractive, to show your husband you are still trying, still s**y, still hot....and it's important for the woman to keep feeling s**y and hot too! She doesn't need to - and shouldn't be - doing it all the time, but definitely when it's appropriate, she should dress as she did before tying the knot. If that's too hard for her, and she's lazy, she'll give me a thumbs down :)

  4. I honestly don't know many men who want their wives to dress s**y or S****y.  To keep in shape and dress nicely - like not wear sweats all the time, etc.  Sure.  To be classy, sure.  To dress like they did in college when they were going clubbing?  NO WAY!

  5. it don't matter if your married are not you should dress nice and s**y so you can keep ya husband interested in you more

  6. That is bull. I am not married but the spanking hot woman i am with has married friends who dress just as s**y and sexier . This is absurd. Dress has nothing to do with marriage status in the US.

  7. A women whether married or not, ages with "Grace."

Her apparel (not sure what you consider hot is) should match her age.

I mean, she shouldn't be a grandmother trying to dress like a granddaughter.

She should dress classier as she gets older. Some men find a classy dressed woman, s**y.

For example, typically at work I would wear a Grey business skirt with hair pinned up, a pair of pearls and black leather heels, with a freshly starched white blouse. I don't mean to be s**y or not, I mean business and must look like business material. Upon getting home, I take the clown outfit off and put on something more casual, i.e. white below the knee cotton skirt and maybe some thin cotton layering tops.

I've never been told I'm not s**y? Nor have I ever thought this way either? I'm 40 and feel I represent 40 very well.

  8. Honestly, no. If I were to get married, I'd dress in a s**y but non trashy way so I can impress my man, and give an overall good impression to the guests - that I am getting married, and I want this moment to last forever.

  9. when i am attached, i feel that out of respect for my sig other i dress more conservatively.  he doesn't want to be seen with a s**t or w***e.

if i were trying to attract someone, i might dress a little more s**y.

  10. A women shouldn't have to dress s**y when she's married because the guy should appreciate her as she is, you should only be married if you love that person, so if the man dislikes that fact that his wife doesn't want to dress s**y anymore then he should except that. because he should love her for her not the way she looks and dresses. ..theres probably gonna be times when the women will dress  little s**y for the man, but why should she always have to?? I mean do you want you wife going out in public in s**y clothing and getting attention from a bunch of guys?..I think not. so if your married to her EXCEPT the way she wants to dress.

why do men have to care so much about their girl dressing s**y, its wrong and unfair.

  11. It seems like thats the only good thing about getting married: being able to let yourself go.

  12. whenever i dress up, it's for my husband. I ask him what he would like me to wear to this or that event. Other than that, i dress that same as when we weren't married.

  13. it's not a excuse.. and SURE it would be nice to dress all hott for your husband all the time .. but when it comes down to being with someoen 24-7.. all your life.. they are going to see you at your highs.. and lows.. and on your "normal" days.. and yes.. people do tend to get "comfy" when they get married... it is good to remember to dress up( throw in a lil spice) here and there...it's always important.

  14. you dont have to dress s**y!!! but put a lil s**y into it at leats!!!

  15. I must be one of those rare married women..I am nothing like half of them out there. I dress to kill. I care about the way I look. I want to look smoking for my husband. He is the only one that matters. He is the only one that I sleep with, so I would like to maintain that level of attraction. I would rather starve myself then get fat. I will never be the frumpy, boring old house wife.

I am a fabulous woman, and incredibly good looking. That needs to be celebrated on a regular basis.

  16. marraige to me is a religious celebration. There's nothing wrong with looking s**y, as long as its in a modest way. I think sleeveless dresses are fine, but strapless shows too much cleavage and is inappropriate. Short dresses is also to showy. You can find a s**y dress that shows off your best features without having to show off everything you've got! The basic rule, if its too "s**y" to wear to your parents 50th wedding anniversary then its too "s**y" to wear to your wedding.

As for after the marraige, it depends on wear your going, DUH! I think a girl should always be modest, however, s**y lingerie for your husband is just fine! Again, when going out, you can always look s**y without looking to tacky and showy.

  17. Settling into life is an excuse to dress less hot.

I'm not gonna walk around in a friggin mini skirt with cleavage galor when I have a home to care for, a husband to cook for, kids to take care of and a job.

You've been looking at too many nudie mags..real women don't have time to be dolled up constantly. We dress nice to look nice when out in public with our date, to show him that yes..we can be pretty, we do dress nicely when it suits the occasion. When I go to Wal-Mart to buy toilet paper I'm not gonna wear hot pants and a halter top because my husband thinks its hot.

When do you guys ever look s**y? I don't know one single man that ever goes out of his way, married or not, to look super hot for his lady. AND I suspect when you have to drag your *** out of bed at 5am to go to work to pay for the mortgage to the house you and you're spouse are now living in you're not going slap on a tie or dress to the nines on a regular basis after work to impress her. The skid marks in your underwear and pissing on the toilet seat isn't exactly s**y..nor inspiring.

Get over it..women aren't eye candy, they're human beings, it's not their job to walk around like a Victoria's Secret model to tickle your fancy.

  18. i guess married women think since they are already married

and have someone to love them they don;t need to look

s**y/hot pretty/ for any other guys

so they ont get dressed up as much

but if u were married i would like to look my best evryday

  19. s**y does NOT come from your clothes or lack there of.  s**y is an attitude  one exudes.

  20. An excuse not to have to. I'm a guy and I see guys looking like total slobs after marriage and think they should show some respect to their wife. So, I think it could go both ways with the women.

  21. No it is not but, one day he says thats to low cut the next he says why are you wearing baggy jeans so-that's why it takes me so long to get ready which he also complains about.  I love him more than anything though so oh-well!

  22. Don't forget about the weight the woman gains and the fact that they stop putting out and begin nagging more.

Then to top it off - they will take HALF of everything...................

  23. You are a pig.  You will never get a quality woman with your attitude, so you really don't need to worry about it.

  24. I love dressing s**y and my hubby thinks I look hot when I am in the kitchen wearing sweats.  He loved it when I wore a nice dress to the grocery store.  There is a time and a place.  He also likes my levis and biker chic too.  He grabbed my butt working in the garage.  there is such a thing as balance.

  25. Married women seem to get lazy and think they can just sit around the house and expect their husband to get all the money.

Watch how many thumbs down I get. Probably from the women who do this.

  26. Marriage. Kinda means y'all are stuck together. She doesn't see you leaving her over superficial reasons. Therefore, she neglects her appearance. I am nowhere near ready to be married, but when it happens, I'm going to make sure I'm as cute as possible 90% of the time.

I don't really like the idea of grunging it down after a man agrees to spend the rest of his life with you.

  27. Glad you stated MANY WOMEN...and not ALL WOMEN...I hate the all inclusive statements...Personally I think BOTH spouses should always attempt to look good for their mate...I don't necessarily mean you have to dress s**y all the time...but definitely make an honest attempt at keeping yourself looking healthy and nice for your spouse..

  28. So you want your wife to look like a $20 hooker, big deal! Most men want diferently, DO NOT JUDGE everyone from your vougeristic hooker chair.

  29. It's something I have definitely noticed around me. Woman tend to stop wearing nice clothes and to fix their hair and make-up. The sweat pants and sloppy ponytail become a everyday staple.  But not all woman are like this there are plenty that still look just as good as the day they got married.

  30. Why do you still need to advertise that you're available if you aren't?

Unless, of course, you have an open marriage, then it's different.

(My wife loves to dress up for me in s**y outfits around the house, but when we go out, she refuses to dress like that, even if I beg her.)

  31. Well, now that I have stopped laughing I can answer your question!  I don't always think that is true, it depends on the person.  I think that some men let themselves go after marriage so that was a little sexist.  And don't worry, your wedding photos won't be the last photo you have of your wife where she looks "hot".  I am sure if you let her shop to her hearts content then she will still look nice.  I think sometimes husband become a little tight with the money which doesn't allow a woman to look as well as she would like to.  So, somehow I have made it the guys fault without even trying!  I hope that "sits well with you"!
