Married ladies, how many guys did you date before you found your hubby?

Ladies, I'm just curious.

I know about 5 women who ended up marrying the first guy that they ever dated, and I am also one of them.

Were any of you able to find your true love the first time around or did you think it more sensible to shop around a bit first?

I dated several casually, and only two seriously. I was actually engaged to one until he cheated on me. I should have kept shopping, though. Getting married was a big mistake. I envy people who meet the love of their life first. You are very blessed.

My huby was also my first boyfriend. I think people that don't know you assume that if this is how it worked out you must have just settled for the first thing that came along. But we are just lucky, we found someone straight away that we're completely compatiable and fell in love with :-)

I met my husband when we were 15 years old but we didn't date then. We both dated other people and moved around till we were in our 20's.  We found each other again, immediately started dating, and then got married.

I dated two or three briefly,  none seriously. Then met my hubby, that was all she wrote! Been married 45 yrs in Sept., still in love. Actually, we're more in love now then we were then.

Some think that marriage is going to be like one long first date, wrong, it's not.

It can be hard work sometimes, but without the hard times, you don't appreciate the good ones. It's well worth it.

I just started dating my gf, she is 23, korean, never had a bf before, and i intend on marrying her. i guess it does happen, as surprising as that is nowadays...

btw, she is kind of my first gf too, lol

I dated just two guys.  First one died in the Viet Nam war while I was still in high school. I would have married him the minute he came home. I married the next boy I dated.  These days, I only date guys I WOULDN'T marry.  : )

I dated a lot when I was younger. But I was never looking to be married. I'd say about 5 people before I was married. Now I'm divorced. Wah wah.

I dated quite a few guys before I met my husband.  Most for less than a couple months and one very serious. When I met my husband I knew he was perfect.  All of the positive and none of the negative qualities I wanted.  I feel my experiences allowed me to know what I wanted in a man, husband and father of my children.

Actually, I date very few men, and it all stopped when I met my husband.  Unfortunately it did not work out for the both of us, and once again I am single.  =P
