  1. I can...my husband didn't know i new how. He went and got a new car and got a stick thinking i wouldn't beable to drive it. Boy was he wrong..LOL. I grandfather taught me when i was 16

  2. no, but I don't want to learn either. I hate it!

  3. Oh absolutely!  I prefer to drive a stick shift; there's nothing like passing some slow *** person on a 2 lane backroad and downshifting into a lower gear and feeling the car take off.  Been driving a stick for 18 years and the only time I don't like it is when I'm stuck in traffic having to let in and out on the clutch.  Other than that, it's awesome!

I was looking for a car quite a few years ago and told the salesman that I wanted a stick and it shocked him.  He said that practically NO women came in asking specifically for a stick.

  4. Yes but I learned years before getting married....

  5. I don't know... I've never tried!

  6. Yes, my husband taught me how.

  7. Yes.  I learned on a manual shift.

  8. Yes, I learned to drive on a stick.  I also drive a motorcycle.  Love it!

  9. No, Im very ashamed to admit this..but I can't. And I'm a country girl even. True confession..I cannot parallel park either.

Hey, we have a jeep too..but it's an automatic... I know, in the jeep world, that is pathetic (*hangs head in shame*)

  10. Yes I can. I learned to drive on a stick shift. Years later I bought a stick shift car and it all came back to me after driving an automatic for years. Not one time did I kill the engine.

  11. Both the women in my life can drive a stickshift.  I taught Nikki when we were still kids dating, but Shelly was taught by her father when she was first learning to drive.

Nikki and I are married, but Shelly lives with us and shares our lives, so I gave both answers.

  12. There is nothing quite as hot as a woman who can handle a stick.

I taught my wife how to heel and toe downshift as well.

Even better, she knows how to pump

    her own gas .

  13. nope i tried and could not get it figured out

  14. What on earth does one's marital status have to do with it?  According to this state's Department of Transportation, as many women can drive a standard as men.  They don't keep track of marital status...

  15. My dad made me learn on a stick :) That's all I've owned in the 14 years I've been driving.

  16. Yes, but I learned how to drive one in highschool.  Not sure if it matters if you're married or not.......................

  17. I learned when I was 16 so marriage had nothing to do with it!

  18. I can drive a stick shift through town on my cellphone petting my teacup poodle ...

i LOVE my stick shift!! I prefer them. You have so much more control over the car, and baby, when you're driving barefoot on the highway and kick your ***** in to four to pass somebody already going twice the speed limit ... **shutters** there's nothing like it! i'm glad I don't have leather seats, or lord knows i would slip right off ... ;)

  19. Yes I can, although I'm no longer married. My husband was murdered by the Y!Mafia!

And I can drive a car with a manual transmission too.

  20. No.  My husband cant either.

  21. Unfortunately, I cannot drive a stick shift.  It might be fun to learn how but I like something that I can put in drive and go.

  22. i do it every day of my life!

  23. oh yes I can drive his stick shift very well....

but if your talking about a manual car, yes I can do that too

  24. yup...i'll drive your jeep!

  25. I don't drive at all

  26. Yep. My first car was a stick.

  27. Of course,  I will let him drive it. I will stay seated and enjoy.
