Married on a boat in Canada?!?!?!?

Ok, So I want to get married on a boat.. preferably a ship.. and not a cruise ship... I want a nice one... (Boat and wedding) well.. I'm not getting married yet, but I'm wondering if anyone has any idea of what ships there are in which I can do this... ?

I'm doing a whole bunch of research on this... please any help would be awesome!!!

There are really nice party ships out on the lake in Toronto. The view of the downtown all lit up in the evening is really lovely from the lake, and then if they have fireworks at the lakeshore, it's gorgeous.

How about getting married on the Maid of the Mist that rides under Niagara Falls...that is a very romantic place to get married.

I believe you can get married on any ship or boat in Canada as long as you properly apply for the licence and arrange for a marriage commissioner to perform the ceremony.  Contrary to popular belief, ship captains cannot perform marriage ceremonies unless they are also marriage commissioners.  So you can pick any boat or ship that is available to rent for such an occasion.  In many areas in Canada there are local boats for day tours for example, so that would be one option.  Best of luck with your plans.
