Married people: Where did you go on your honeymoon and what was it like?

My fiance and I are trying to find a good honeymoon destination and are just looking for opinions of others on where they went for theirs?

We were married 51yrs ago. I am sure you would not want the honeymoon we had.  LOL  My wife and I were married on a Friday, and we both went back to work the following Monday.  Mind you many years later, when we could afford it we went to America.

Well, for my 'first' honeymoon, at the tender age of 20, (some 27 years ago), we went to the grocery store to pick up items for me to cook dinner. I'm now on my third wife, so you decide if that was a mistake!  Within reason, take him where you will be happy, and have wonderful memories.  Lounging on the beach in the Carribean, or fishing for bass somewhere in the south!  It does not have to cost the price of a car.  You decide, he will be happy!

It wasn't for me, but for my sister. Her and her fiance had their honeymoon in Rome. She told me it was beautiful and they had great food.

Anyhow, congratz! I hope you find the perfect place.
