Married to a Refugee and my stay in Canada is almost over...WHAT 2 DO!!!?

Im married to my husband who is a refugee in canada and Im a US citizen. Im going to send my extended stay application next week because my due date is in Aug. 2. I really want to stay in Canada with him, but he`s unable to sponsor me. I also Want to work and have a perm. resid. in canada but have no one to sponsor me. I cant go back to my family back in Florida, my only family I have is my hubby. After I extend my stay in Canada, What can I do, what should I do, Im really scared that Canada`s goverment might ask me to leave because I don`t have a status in Canada at all. Im really lost and stressed. Please help....

  1. Unfortunately without him being able to sponsor, you have no legal way to remain in Canada. You can apply to stay for another 6 months, but after that, assuming it is approved, you will have to return to the US.

    This is a situation where I would most definitely have a consultation with a lawyer, if possible.

    Have you thought of sponsoring him in the US?
