The two Ligue 1 giants are studying various recruitment options for the upcoming winter transfer window and have shortlisted the Nancy Lorraine attacker as one of their targets for January
The current 2012/2013 campaign has been a forgettable one for Ligue 1 outfit Nancy Lorraine. Stuck at the bottom of the Ligue 1 standings with just seven points from 14 games, apart from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Djamel-Bakar-c11362, no player has played well for the Lorraine-based player.
In the summer of 2011, Nancy lost the services of Landry N’Guemo and then in the summer of 2012, they lost the services of Bakaye Traore. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AS-Nancy-c38468 have developed a very nasty habit of losing their best players every summer for free, which is indeed, not
a good thing.
And this time, it appears that 23-year-old Djamel Bakar could be continuing the trend in 2013. A free agent next June, the attacker has refused to extend his contract – something that has infuriated the club’s president, Jacques Rousselot who says that if
the player does not extend his contract, he will be put on the transfer list.
“Either he extends (his contract) or he is placed on the transfer list,” said Rousselot who already has a lot of problems to deal with.
The French-born player of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Comoros-c2874 descent has been a live wire this season for his club and his recent performances have already attracted attentions from two teams within Ligue 1.
Reports in L’Est Republicain claim that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 and AS Saint-Etienne are very keen on enlisting Bakar’s services and don’t want to wait for the player’s contract to run out.
Les Phoceens have always been interested in signing a good striker for a bargain price and it appears that Djamel Bakar, with his contractual issues, is the right man for them. Christophe Galtier of AS Saint-Etienne on the other hand, knows that it might
be a bit hard for him to hold on to the services of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for long so he would want to have a replacement should the Gabonese chooses to leave the Cauldron.
Aubameyang recently declared his love for the English Premier League so it appears that Marseille and Saint-Etienne could try their luck on Bakar this January.
