The Ligue 1 strugglers are keen to find a buyer for Spanish right-back Cesar Azpilicueta and Chelsea FC might offer the Rhone club the services of Gael Kakuta in a player exchange deal
Reports in French media claim that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 have received a serious offer from English Premier League giants, Chelsea FC for the services of young right-back, Cesar Azpilicueta. The Spaniard has been on the transfer list for a long time and now, the Londoners are keen on bringing him to the Stamford Bridge.
However, it now appears that the Champions League winners are keen on offering Les Phoceens a player plus cash option with French youngster, Gael Kakuta set to go the other way.
“I do not intend to return to Ligue 1”, were the words of Kakuta who spent the second half of the 2011/2012 campaign on loan at Dijon FCO. However, it now appears that the Chelsea youngster spoke too soon for his own good.

Marseille on the other hand, will have no reservations about letting go of a talented player as they will secure the services of another talented youngster for who, a move away from the Blues is very important at this stage.
Furthermore, selling Azpilicueta will unlock Marseille’s transfer market activity which has been mute to say the least apart from the signature of Florian Raspentino who joined the Canebiere club as a free agent.
