The Montpellier defender is attracting a lot of interest from Olympique de Marseille who could lost the services of Nicolas N’Koulou and Stephane Mbia this summer
Montpellier Herault are having an exceptional season. La Paillade are currently on top of the Ligue 1 standings and lead Paris Saint-Germain by five points with just four games to go.
The likes of Olivier Giroud, Younes Belhanda and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa have played an instrumental part in the Southerners’ rise in Ligue 1. The latter however, is not sure whether he will still be a Montpellier player next season or not.
Yanga-Mbiwa has been one of the biggest reasons why Montpellier defence is the joint best defence in Ligue 1.
While talking about a memorable season, the Frenchman savours an unexpected journey.

Yanga-Mbiwa however, says that joining Manchester United one day would be a dream come true for him.
“Manchester will be a dream come true. OM is in my heart. It’s flattering. I never thought OM will follow me. This is a club that’s still attractive.”
The question is whether Les Phoceens will be able to finance a move for the immensely talented defender who will certainly reconsider his stance if the big sides from other European leagues come calling.
So far, Yanga-Mbiwa has made a great start to his young career and perhaps, one more season at Montpellier would do him world of good.
