Marseille manager Didier Deschamps: Rooney can make the difference in the Champions League final
Olympique Marseille manager, Didier Deschamps, believes that the Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney, can make the difference in the UEFA Champions League final against Barcelona at Wembley Stadium on May 28, 2011.
Rooney has been in superb run of form after a poor start to the 2010/11 season, where he was surrounded by a lot of on and off the field issues. Deschamps believes that Rooney’s pairing with Javier Hernandez could decide the game in favour of the Red Devils.

positions, he never makes a mistake with his distribution of the ball. He also has great stamina and aggression.
“The relationship between Rooney and 'Chicharito' [Hernandez] impresses me; in terms of movement, the latter is awesome. They always know where the other one is; it is a perfect passing relationship.” He concluded.
