Question:

Marshmallow Fluff?

Does marshmallow fluff contain gelatin? It doesn't say so on the container, and I don't think they can legally not add an ingredient used, right? I'm wondering if it would be worth it to e-mail the company or not. The reason I'm asking this is because I was thinking that maybe fluff could possibly be a vegetarian alternative to marshmallows.

  1. No gelatin!  Enjoy.

  2. Fluff is vegetarian.... but as for you "I am the writer" , if youre a strict vegan, I would not be eating fluff. It contains egg whites, which is obviously not vegan.

  3. It is a great vegetarian alternative to marshmallows.  I use it to make candied yams for Thanksgiving and Christmas (or I did before I went from vegetarian to vegan, anyway).

  4. It doesn't. I'm a strict vegan, and I eat fluff.

  5. this isn't an answer - but woohoo! i will happily be purchasing some fluff at the market tomorrow... one of my fave summetime recipes calls for it and i wasn't sure if i'd be making it anymore...

    one jar fluff

    one package whipped cream cheese

    one T vanilla extract

mix together and serve with fruit

  6. somebody asked the company the same question. they said it was made from:

Corn syrup, sugar syrup, vanilla flavor, and egg white. There are no artificial preservatives, stabilizers, emulsifiers, or colorings in Marshmallow Fluff.

    hope this helps

    xoxo
