Martial Arts classes? Please help?

Okay so my cousin lives in the big apple (New york city) in manhattan, and she wants to do martial arts classes. Are there any places that are near manhattan or in it? please help, thanks! ~S

There are many many places in Manhattan.  Just open a phone book or a yahoo search.   I would recommend Yip Man's style Wing Chun or Wing Tsun.  Same fighting style just different spellings.   It is designed for simplicity and uses leverage to defend against larger opponents. It only takes a few months of study to be effective.  But to take the best advantage you may want to learn several.  A gym that offers many styles might be more to the liking... like the Fight Club, it teaches MMA (mixed martial arts).  This is become very popular for sport but it does teach effective fighting for the real world.
