Martial arts class?

well i am takin martial arts class i want to practice on the computer and i need from white belt to orange belt to practice . is there any way's i can find the steps to martial arts so i can practice at home so i can down load it on my cd. i need the basics steps and so on. let me know asap

  1. well I'm not quite sure what your asking but you can find the steps to the katas/ forms by typing in " _insert name___ steps" on google. But learn from a sensei not a computer.

    edit:  what other people say looking for fights "to gain experience" is a bad idea.


  2. it's not a good idea to 'practice' with a cd or video, as many different dojos have different ways of doing things. like a dojo that my dojo often trains with uses some same moves, but applied differently and to different parts of the body. if you're really interested, maybe ask your sensei to allow you to tape him/her (or yourself) doing the moves. And really, it's much better if you try to memorise it straight from the sensei so you build up memory tools. (sorry i couldn't help with the actual question)

  3. i dont suggest. Just gain experience through real fights.

  4. Go to youtube and search for the style you're taking (shotokan karate, etc.)

    There are hundreds of videos there, you just might need to spend a little time finding the ones that match the martial arts style you're taking.
